Metal Overlord is a transformation of Neo Metal Sonic, when it tried to usurped the Eggman Empire.
After Eggman's defeat during the events of Sonic forces, the now-loyal Neo Metal Sonic achieved a similar form, Master Overlord, due to the fact that the source of the transformation was from the power of the Master Emerald.
